Leesa Blanket Review: 5 Purposes of This Multi-Functional Blanket

leesa blanket reviewHave you ever slept under a blanket that wasn’t completely right for you? Maybe it was too heavy and it didn’t allow enough space for moving or breathing. Or maybe it was too light and you felt as if it didn’t ‘keep you down’ enough while sleeping. Or maybe you’re just looking for a blanket that you can use as well in summer as in winter? Most blankets have something wrong with them that makes them not suitable for year-round use… and that’s exactly why today we’re going to discuss the Leesa Blanket review – it’s a blanket from the mattress producer Leesa.

You’ll find out everything you need to know about this blanket and why it’s a top choice if you’re looking for an all-round blanket that you can use in every time of the year. We’ll also go over a couple of things that you’ll experience lying under this blanket, some reviews and finally where you can go if you want to purchase the blanket for a good price.

So, what are we waiting for? Let’s dive into this Leesa blanket review!

Leesa Blanket review

Now, most mattress manufacturers do not make specific blankets. And the reason why there is a special Leesa blanket is simple. The company heard a great deal of happy customers who said that they liked the feel of the Leesa mattress cover so much – that they would love to have a portable version of that.

Either to take it with them on a short trip to have the same quality sleep as at home. Or maybe to snuggle up on the couch at night watching your favorite series. Literally, the uses of a good quality comfortable blanket are endless. I even have to admit I sometimes even prefer a light blanket for sleeping at night over a regular sleeping blanket!

Talking about the Leesa mattress and company. If you’re curious to learn more about the Leesa mattress itself and how it can help you get better sleep – be sure to check out my Leesa mattress review for more information!

What is the Leesa Blanket for blanket?

The Leesa blanket is a high-quality blanket. It was designed for all temperatures and comfort levels. Here is an overview of what materials the blanket is made of:

  • 17% viscose
  • 13% nylon
  • 70% polyester

So the blanket was made from high quality materials in a good combination of them. You won’t feel too warm or too cold lying underneath it.

The blanket is 60 inches by 78 inches – so it’s large enough for almost all but the tallest people.

Also, the blanket was made in such a way that both sides are virtually identical. So you can sleep with either side up. That’s great if one side got a little dirty or you want to quickly change it for some more freshness.

Here’s a picture of the Leesa mattress – as you can see the fabric looks very soft and comfortable. And that’s exactly the same as the Leesa blanket!

5 Benefits of the Leesa blanket

#1 Warm in winter

One of the first benefits of the blanket that we’ll discuss in this Leesa blanket review is that the blanket will keep you warm during winter. I’d even argue and say this is the highest priority of any blanket that you’re sleeping under in the winter. Now, I wouldn’t say that it’d help you if you were lying outside on a winter night – but for all practical purposes, in your house you’re going to have all the comfort and warmth that you need.

The great thing is that it won’t allow cold air to your body. So if you’re anything like me – and love to lay down with the windows open even during winter, the Leesa blanket is a good blanket for you. Getting fresh air is very important – and even more so when you’re asleep or lying down to relax. So if you’re keeping the windows closed during winter because it’s too cold otherwise, I recommend you try sleeping with open windows for a couple of days to see if that makes you sleep better. (they don’t even have to be fully opened – just a slight breeze will already do wonders).

#2 Cool in summer

The next thing is that – although it may sound surprising – that the blanket will also keep you cool during summer. The reason why the blanket can do both this is because of the unique combination of materials that it’s made of. Which means that its breathable fabric will allow you to use the blanket even on hot days.

You probably like the feeling of having something covering you when you’re lying on the couch – or trying to get a good powernap somewhere. It makes it more comfortable and easier to relax. However, on hot days this can make it too warm and sweaty. So you might prefer to lie down with nothing covering your body. This isn’t ideal – and the Leesa blanket’s cool breathing fabric can offer you exactly the blanket that you’re looking for.

#3 Minimal shrinkage

A main concern for many people is that fabrics made from polyester have a high shrinking percentage. I’m happy to inform you that this is not the case with the Leesa blanket – even though it’s made from 70% polyester.

Still, it’s recommended you only wash it with cold water. So that means either by hand or on the cool cycle from your washing machine. For drying it’s better to hang it in a dry place then to use a dryer. You can however, use a warm iron to soften out the wrinkles if needed.

#4 The same feel as the Leesa mattress

leesa mattress blanket review

One of the reasons why I’m writing this Leesa blanket review – it has virtually the same feeling to it as the mattress cover from the Leesa mattress. You can read the raving reviews here about that mattress and you’ll soon learn why many people were insisting that Leesa make a blanket with the same feeling as their mattress. If you haven’t yet, be sure to check out what others are saying about the Leesa mattress and its unique feel by clicking on the link in this paragraph!

Talking about the Leesa mattress – if you’re curious how it adds up against some other mattress… be sure to check out this Loom and Leaf vs Leesa comparison guide!

#5 Overall very comfortable (+5 activities the blanket is ideal for!)

If there’s one thing I want you to take away from this Leesa blanket review, it’s that it is a very comfortable blanket. You can use it for many different purposes. Including but not limited to:

  • Taking it with you on a short (business, camping, sleep-over) trip where you need a good blanket to sleep on at night.
  • Short siestas or powernaps on your couch at home.
  • If you like to have some soft blanket covering your body while you’re chilling at home and watching a movie or series.
  • Taking it outside on spring/autumn/ colder summer nights when you’re in a company and the temperature is starting to come down but you still want to enjoy sitting outside with friends or family.
  • A blanket to keep in the car to put over your kids when they fall asleep on longer road trips so that they won’t catch a cold.

All in all, there are many uses that this comfortable Leesa blanket can fulfill. And I hope that you at least one of the previous situations applies to your life!

30-day trial!

Another thing that I quickly want to touch upon in this Leesa blanket review is the fact that you get a 30-day trial when you buy the blanket through the official site. What this means is that if you order the blanket – you have 30 days to see how you like the blanket.

It’s only natural if you’re buying a blanket that you want to see and feel the fabric. Maybe it’s a lot softer and gentler than you imagined! Or maybe there’s something about the fabric that puts you off – and maybe a different blanket would be a better choice for you.

Plus the fact that money-back guarantees are also a sign of the company showing you that they’re confident in their product. After all, if they wouldn’t be, then they wouldn’t be giving you an offer like that.

If you might not be satisfied with the blanket – you can simply contact Leesa (within 30 days after purchase). They’ll send you a prepaid UPS label that you can use to send back the blanket free of charge.

But I’m sure you won’t need this option ?

Conclusion Leesa Blanket review

Alright, we’ve reached the end of this Leesa blanket review. All in all, if you’re looking for a soft and comfortable blanket that has the same feel as the best-selling Leesa mattress to it – you’re in for a happy surprise when you buy the Leesa blanket!

I hope this review helped you in any way. And if you have something to tell about the mattress, a question about it – or even your own review – be sure to leave a comment describing you experience!

P.S.  The Leesa blanket is a high quality comfortable blanket that you can use for many different uses. If you’re curious for more information – then please go to the official Leesa site here!

Loom and Leaf vs Leesa: Tough to Go Wrong With These Mattresses…

loom and leaf vs leesaAnother frequent question on the blog here is about the mattresses Loom and Leaf vs Leesa. They’re both high quality mattresses in a higher price category than the average mattress. And on the surface, there might not be too many differences. So if you’re part of the group who’s struggling with making a good decision – then this comparison will give you all the information you need to make an informed decision.

Note: before we continue, please check with yourself (or with your partner) what it is that you find most important in a mattress. Is it that you suffer from lower back pain – and want a mattress that helps support that region? Or are you tossing and turning all night and that is keeping your partner awake? Then a mattress with good motion control is for you. You don’t need to have a perfect image of how you want your mattress. But thinking about it for a couple of minutes can help you a lot with making the right decision.

Loom and Leaf vs Leesa

Before we start with the individual comparisons I’d want to do a quick overview of what the similarities are. After all, knowing what both mattresses have to offer can already take away some of the decision stress.

Both mattresses:

  • Are foam mattresses
  • Can be ordered online (and delivered to your home)
  • Have a trial period of at least 100 days
  • Offer returns
  • Have a warranty of at least 10 years
  • Are very good support mattresses?
  • Have minimal motion transfer
  • Are good for sleeping heat (cooling mattresses)

Main things I want to draw attention to here is that both mattresses are among the top online mattresses. They have a lot of good reviews on many sites – and both are comfortable and offer great support for your body. So you can’t really go wrong with either mattress. However, there are a couple of small differences that can make you prefer one or the other mattress.

Oh, and the sleeping trial is also perfect. Leesa offers a 100 days and Loom and Leaf 120. So, whatever your choice, you have at least 3 months to try out the mattress. And see if you like it or not. This is great since it also takes away a lot of the purchase stress (you can make the final decision after you have enough experience if the mattress is right for you or not).

leesa vs loom and leaf
Both the Loom and Leaf vs Leesa mattress offer you a sleeping trial.

What I like about the Loom and Leaf mattress: good for larger people

The Loom and Leaf mattress is, with its 12 inches, a tad thicker than the Leesa mattress (which is only 10). One other thing I really like about the mattress is that you’ll have a choice in how firm you want it to be. The regular mattress is around a 5.5 in firmness on a scale of 1-10. Whereas there’s also a firmer option which is around an 8.

The 4 layers from which the mattress is built are:

  • 2-inch conforming gel foam
  • 5-inch visco elastic memory foam
  • 2-inch transition pad
  • 5-inch support foam for stability

Together with the option for a firmer mattress, it makes the Loom and Leaf a perfect choice for larger people. The thickness of the mattress will offer extra support + the 4 layers are adding just that bit of extra if you need it.

Now, you shouldn’t think that the mattress isn’t comfortable and stylish, because it is. The comfort has an almost universal feeling to it. Many mattresses try to get it at this level (of course, so the largest amount of people will buy their mattress), but Loom and Leaf seems to hit that sweet spot.

What I like about the Leesa mattress: comfort + charity

You might know from Leesa that they have a giving pledge. What that means is that for every 10 mattresses that they sell, they donate one to a homeless shelter. I’m always happy to see this in companies, when they give something back to society instead of just selling their product and hoarding the profits. So if you’re anything like me, you’ll appreciate Leesa for doing this.

The next thing that you’ll notice with the Leesa mattress is the comfort. I already said before that the Loom and Leaf mattress was comfortable – but the Leesa mattress seems to top this. It really hits the perfect spot between too firm and too soft. You’ll really sleep like a baby on this one.

I’d say that Leesa is a bit better in this subject. However there’s a small caveat – like I said, it’s probably better for smaller to slightly above average people. It’s only 10 inches thick and has 3 layers:

  • 2-inch avena foam
  • 2-inch memory foam
  • 6-inch support foam

SO if you’re on the smaller side, then give the Leesa mattress a try!

Here’s what to base your decision on (Loom and Leaf vs Leesa)

Maybe you’ve already made a decision while reading the previous paragraphs. If that is you, then congratulations, deciding which mattress to take is always a tough choice since it’s a significant purchase and you’re probably going to be sleeping on the mattress for 10+ years.

If not, then you can use the following questions to get a clearer image which mattress is for you:

  • Do you want supreme comfort and are you of average weight (or less)? Pick Leesa
  • Or are you larger? Then Loom and Leaf is the better option.
  • Do you care about charity? Pick Leesa
  • Do you like thicker mattresses? Go with Loom and Leaf
  • You want to decide between different levels of firmness? Loom and Leaf

Final verdict Loom and Leaf vs Leesa

The prices of the mattresses are both in the same price category. And they are both very comfortable. I try to pick a winner every comparison, but here it’s going to be difficult. However, I’d have to say that the Leesa mattress is probably more suitable for the majority of people. Just because it’s more comfortable for people who are of average and below average weight. Although each mattress is very well suited for virtually every sleeper.

I hope you’ve been able to make a decision which mattress suits you more. If not, then please check out the 2 links below for the product pages of the mattresses on Amazon. You’ll find a ton of useful information about the features there + helpful user reviews.

Casper vs Tuft and Needle vs Leesa: 7 Questions To Help You Decide

casper vs tuft and needle vs leesaMost of the time when people ask me for a mattress comparison it’s only between 2 different mattresses. But sometimes it happens that I get asked to do a comparison between 3 mattresses. You may have heard about them: they’re all getting good reviews on all the major mattress sites. And that’s why today we’re going to discuss the Casper vs Tuft and Needle vs Leesa mattress. So if you’re in doubt which one of these will be the perfect one for you – please continue reading.

Note: every person is different so your needs will be different from mine and form the next person reading this. That’s why there’s no definitive answer to which mattress is the *best*. What there is, however, is a mattress which is the *best for you*. So I highly recommend you ask yourself beforehand what you value in a mattress – maybe even talk with your spouse about it. That way you’ll have a better image of what type of mattress you want. And the choice will become a lot easier.

In this article we’ll first discuss what makes the 3 mattresses similar. After that we’ll take each mattress and examine it. I’ll also tell you what I found the most interesting about each mattress. After that we’ll have a list of questions that will help you make your decision which mattress is best for you.

Casper vs Tuft and Needle vs Leesa

Now, all 3 mattresses have quite a bit in common. For example, they’re all foam mattresses. And they’re all pretty new on the mattress scene. Here’s an overview of everything that these 3 mattresses have in common:

  • Memory foam mattresses
  • Can be bought online (and shipped to your door)
  • Are 10 inches thick
  • Offer a 100-night sleeping trial (risk-free purchase)
  • Have a 10-year warranty

So, the main things I want to draw attention to here is the mattresses are medium thickness and that they are memory foam mattresses that are medium firm. So in terms as far as mattresses go – they are all good for the majority of people. So you should be fine with each choice. However, each mattress has its own things and details that may make it a better (or worse) fit for you.

We’ll discuss that in the following paragraphs.

What I like about the Casper mattress: incredible service

One of the first things that you’ll notice is that the Casper mattress is a very comfortable mattress. It’s made from premium latex foam and it really seems to hit that sweet sport of not too firm – but also not too soft. So it’s a good mattress if you like mattresses that have their firmness in the middle.

Another thing that Casper really seems to do well is their customer service. For instance, if you still have an old mattress that you have no place to put it – the guys that will bring your mattress can also take it away. And if you have a problem, you can always count on them to help top you.

One negative ting though is that some people find that the mattress keeps its chemical smell for quite a long time. So if you’re unable to open the window in the first couple of weeks while sleeping, that might be a reason not to get the Casper mattress.

What I like about the Tuft & Needle mattress: premium mattress – but a price class lower

The Tuft and Needle is a great mattress in itself. The main thing that you’ll notice with this mattress is its simplicity. And that’s not only in its appearance. It only has 2 layers of foam – instead of the 3 or more of most other mattresses.

That is because when designing the mattress, the company made sure to focus only on the things that matter most for sleeping: comfort and support. This is in order to make a great mattress that is also affordable for the majority of people.

This has paid off, since the mattress has a much lower price tag than the other 2 mattresses in this comparison. So if you’re on a budget – the Tuft & Needle might be the perfect mattress for you.

One drawback, however, is that it might be too simple for some people. Some things such as edge support didn’t make the cut for the mattress. Some people might need it, but most don’t, so the company decided not to include this.

What I like about the Leesa mattress: comfort + charity

One of the first things you might come to know about the Leesa mattress is that they have a giving pledge. What this means is that for every 10 mattresses that they sell – they give 1 mattress to a homeless shelter. I’m always happy to see if a company decides to take their profits and do something more to better the world instead of just selling a good product and hording all the profits. So if you’re anything like me, this will resonate with you as well.

But of course it’s also important how the mattress sleeps. The Leesa mattress is a very comfortable mattress. Here’s how it’s built:

  • 2-inch top layer that keeps you cool and conforms to your body
  • 2-inch memory foam layers that relieves pressure on painful parts of your body (such as hips of lower back)
  • 6-inch base layer for support and stability

So, just like the other 2 mattresses, it’s a 10-inch mattress. The Leesa mattress is most suited for you if you value comfort – and don’t have to worry too much about your budget. Oh, of course the giving pledge may also convince you to choose Leesa.

Here’s what to base your decision on (Casper vs Tuft and Needle vs Leesa)

A lot of information about these 3 mattresses, so you might not be completely sure which one to pick. I’ve dropped some hints in the previous paragraphs, but let’s make it a bit more clear:

  • Do you want a premium mattress for an affordable price? Pick Tuft & Needle
  • Do you want very good customer service? Casper mattress
  • Is comfort the thing you desire most? Leesa will have you covered
  • Do you sleep very hot? Leesa or Casper will be a great choice
  • Do you want to keep the mattress for 10+ years? Leesa or Casper mattress
  • Do you need edge support? Leesa or Casper
  • Do you care about charity? Leesa mattress

Final verdict Casper vs Tuft and needle vs Leesa

So there you have it. In general I’d say that if you’re on a budget, pick Tuft & Needle. And if you don’t then it will be a choice between Casper and Leesa. Leesa wins on comfort but the Casper mattress also has a lot of good things going for it.

I recommend you check out the links below for more information about each mattress. You’ll also have the option to buy directly, so you won’t have to go looking for any other place.

I hope this article has made it more clear to you which mattress is the better choice for you. And if you have any questions (after checking the links below), you can always leave a comment. I’d be happy to help you out.

Helix vs Leesa Mattress: Detailed Guide to Picking the Right One for You

helix vs leesa mattressI often get questions from readers who are doubting between 2 different mattresses. After all, there are many mattresses nowadays that, on the surface, look the same. So which one is the better option? That’s why today we’re going to discuss the Helix vs Leesa mattress.

We’ll put up an analysis what mattress is better. And at the end well recommend you – based on what you value most while sleeping – what the best choice would be for you.

So, let’s get started!

Helix vs Leesa mattress: which is the better option?

Both mattresses are made from exceptional quality materials. The Leesa mattress is a mattress that was created to universally appeal to all people. It has 3 featured premium foam layers that give you the right feel to sleep on. The Helix mattress on the other hand is a mattress that can be custom built. So if you like to sleep on a firmer part of the bed, while your significant other prefers to sleep on a softer part – then you can customize the mattress that it has both.

Down below I’ll list what I liked about each specific mattress. Now, before you continue reading, I want you to ask yourself what the most important thing is that you want your new mattress to have.

Is it that you suffer from back pain on your current mattress – and do you want to get rid of the pain?

Or are you currently dissatisfied with your mattress because it’s too firm – and you’re sleeping uncomfortable?

There are thousands of reasons why a person could want a new mattress, and it’s very important to know beforehand what your reason is. So you can be on the lookout for the mattress that satisfies your needs best.

It might sound obvious, but it takes a couple of minutes to find the answer (or a short talk with your spouse), and it can save you a lot of trouble that picking the wrong mattress might cause.

helix mattress vs leesa mattress
Suffering from back pain? Or is your mattress not comfortable enough? By finding out first what you need the most in your new mattress will help you a lot finding the right one for your needs.

What I like about the Helix mattress: customization

The main thing that’s great about the Helix mattress is that it can be customized. Now, you might wonder what customization for a mattress can mean. And the answer is quite simple. You see, like we discussed in the introduction, it can happen that you prefer a different type of mattress than your spouse.

Now, you’re probably not going to buy 2 different twin size mattresses. That would create one of those uncomfortable gaps in the middle. Plus you’d have to account for eventual height differences. Oh, it will also be more expensive than buying just 1 large mattress for the two of you.

So when you order the Helix mattress, you’ll receive a questionnaire beforehand. You get to fill in what the specifications are that you want in the mattress. Think about firmness (softer, or harder), possible cooling layers and a ton of different extra’s that can be built into mattresses.

What I like about the Leesa mattress: comfort + charity

The Leesa mattress has become quite famous for their giving pledge. They state on their website that for every 10 mattresses that they sell, they donate 1 to a homeless shelter. Now, I don’t know about you, but with me it always resonates when a company also gives something back to society. That they don’t only care about getting as much money for itself, but that it actually takes a part of that money and makes life better for those less fortunate than us.

So that’s the first thing I wanted to talk about. But, of course it’s also very important how well it sleeps. The Leesa mattress is a mattress that will give you a comfortable sleep. What that means is that the 3 layers that it was built with are made in such a way that it offers you the most comfort possible. Here they are:

  • 2’’ top layer that keeps you cool and conforms to your body
  • A 2’’ memory foam layers that relieves pressure on painful points (like a good memory foam mattress)
  • The 6’’ base layer offers support and durability

So you’ve got a 10-inch mattress that makes sure that your body gets all the support and comfort that it needs.

Another thing I also like about Leesa is that they offer you a 100-night sleeping trial. What that means is that you won’t have to base your decision on some 5-minute showroom mattress. After you order the mattress, you’ll have 100 nights to be checking out how it sleeps.

If you enjoy it – perfect, you’ve found the right mattress for you. And if you don’t – you can send the mattress back without any problem whatsoever.

Especially when ordering your mattress online it’s important that a mattress has a trial like this. After all, it’s very difficult to base your opinion about how well you sleep on it until a couple of nights have passed. And I think the Leesa mattress does a good job of offering you 100 nights to try it out.

Here’s what to base your decision on:

Good, by now you might’ve already made a decision on the Helix vs Leesa mattress. But if you haven’t, here are some questions that can help you:

  • Does your partner prefer a firmer (or softer) mattress than you do? Helix mattress
  • Do you want comfort above all? Leesa mattress
  • Do you believe that companies should give something back to society? Leesa mattress

Final verdict Helix vs Leesa mattress

Simple but elegant, that is how the Leesa mattress for back pain looks like

5 benefits of the Leesa mattress review

#1 Luxury mattress for an affordable price

As we discussed before, the Leesa mattress is a great mattress that is also very affordable. Some other luxury brand mattresses (that offer the same comfort – or even less) sometimes go for prices above $2,000.

Now, if you ask me. Paying more than a $1,000 for a mattress is simply too much for the majority of people. If you have the money and want a custom-made mattress – go for it.

However, if you’re like most people (including me) who don’t have unlimited money to spend on a mattress. Then it is of vital importance that you choose an affordable mattress which is also very comfortable.

#2 Sleep at the optimal temperature at night

The Leesa mattress has 3 unique layers that each offer their own benefit to your sleep. The top layer for example, is a cooling Avena foam. It’s 2 inches thick and makes sure that enough air is going through the mattress.

This air has a cooling effect. If there’s not enough air flow or ‘breathability’ in your mattress, it tends to become very hot. And it is very important that you sleep at an optimal temperature.

When it’s too warm your sleep quality decreases. And this is especially true if your mattress becomes overheated. Luckily the cooling Avena foam increases airflow in the top layer of your mattress and makes sure that you’ll sleep at the optimal temperature.

#3 Amazing comfort + support

Some mattress are very comfortable, but offer few to no support for your body and spine. And other mattresses are great for your back, but leave you waking up as if you’ve slept the entire night on the floor.

So what is the best option? For most, a medium firm memory foam mattress is the golden means.

This will make sure that each curve of your body gets the optimal support that it needs. But it’s also very comfortable to sleep on.

leesa company
